Using the StoAmigo Website

Step 1: Click the “Assign” button of the folder you would like to assign.

Step 2: The Assign folder window opens up. The left side is a list of the contacts in your account. Click on the plus icon (  ) next to their names to assign the folder to that contact.

You can also assign a folder to others that are not on your contacts list by entering their email address in the space marked ‘add existing and new contact emails here’ and then click the plus icon (  ) next to that space to assign them as well.

Step 3: The contacts that you add to the folder Assignment will turn grey on the contacts list on the left side of the window and they will now appear in the right side of the window. You can now decide what permission settings you would like to attach to each contact.

Toggle the share icon on or off to allow/disallow the contact to share files and folders from the assigned folder.

Toggle the edit icon on or off to allow/disallow the contact to make edits to the assigned folder. NOTE: Edit permissions will allow the assignee to delete and move content within the folder.

Toggle the upload icon on or off to allow/disallow the contact to upload files onto the assigned folder.

Toggle the download icon on or off to allow/disallow the contact to download files from the assigned folder.

Step 4: When you are satisfied with all the settings, click the ‘Submit’ button and you will have assigned the folder to your selected contacts and with the selected permission settings for each contact.

Back in the main StoAmigo window you will see a message in the top-left corner to indicate the folder was assigned successfully.

In the folder tree the folder will have an icon in front of it and the word “(Assigned)” next to it to indicate the folder has been assigned.

Additionally the folder icon will have changed in the file/folder view panel ( Add-to-list-icon ) and the “Assign” button will now be blue to indicate the folder has been assigned.

Using the Mobile App (iOS)

Step 1: Touch the action icon (  ) of the folder you would like to assign to reveal the file menu. NOTE: The action icon only appears in detailed view. If you are in thumbnail view you need to long-touch on the name of the folder to reveal the folder menu.

Step 2: From the ‘Menu’ touch the ‘Assign’ button.

Step 3: From the Assign Folder screen touch the contacts icon (  ) in the top-right corner to open up your contacts list.

Step 4: Your contacts list opens. Touch the name(s) you would like to assign the folder to. The name(s) you select will turn blue. Then touch the “Add” button on the lower-right corner.

Step 5: Back in the Assign Folder screen you can see the names of the contacts that you added from your contacts list. You can also assign a folder to a new contact by typing in their email address in the space marked “Add contact here”. Once you have added all the contacts to an assigned folder you can now manipulate the permission settings.

Share-icon Toggle the share permission button on or off to allow/disallow the contact to share files and folders from the assigned folder.

Step 6: When you have set all the permission settings and you are ready to assign the folder, touch the ‘Submit’ button on the lower-right corner.

You will receive a message that the folder has been assigned.

 

Using the Mobile App (Android)
